International Student Admission Process
Thank you for your interest in Phoenix College (PC). Phoenix College is one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges in the Phoenix area and offers only freshman and sophomore level college classes. Students wishing to attend Phoenix College on a F-1 (student ) visa must apply for an I-20. The application process for the I-20 includes the following steps:

Have your most recent TOEFL score report mailed directly to Phoenix College (4606). A TOEFL score of 500 (computer based testing score of 173) is required for admission to Phoenix College. The TOEFL must have been taken within two years of the date for which admission is being sought.
Submit an official high school transcript in English. Graduation from secondary school equivalent to an American high school is required. Official records and transcripts, translated into English must accompany your application.
Enclose a Financial Certification statement showing that you have a minimum of $17,643 per year. A bank statement, on the financial institutions letterhead, is also required and it must be translated into English. All reported moneys must be verified in US dollars.
The Director of the International Student Center will evaluate your I-20 application. If your application is approved, an I-20 will be mailed to you by Phoenix College. It is your responsibility to take the completed I-20 to the American Consulate in your country.
A student attending Phoenix College on a F-1 visa must enroll in and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours every Fall and Spring semester. You will be classified as a non-resident and must be prepared to pay at least $2,500 in non-resident tuition, a $5 registration fee, and associated course fees each semester. You must also pay for mandatory health insurance provided by Phoenix College. The Maricopa Community Colleges Governing Board reserves the right to change tuition and fee charges and may occur without notice.
